This is crazy! As if life weren't stressful enough, having the people who see your kids more hours of the day than you act like that? Yeesh!
The first comment on her page had it right about California though. As long as you call it in or show up for 5 minutes and then go home, they don't care because then the school gets paid for that student for that day. Sometimes ambivalence is not such a bad thing.
My guess is that the folks at the school may find themselves wishing they had done a little more research before referring Cheryl's son to Truancy Court. I know that I sure wouldn't her ticked at me.
