DeleteMaybe it's like one of my favorite scenes from The Three Stooges. Moe has just been made dictator of Moronica, and Curly is a newly-minted general. He asks something along the lines of whether or not he can have fifty different uniforms. Moe tells him, sure, just go shoot fifty generals. I suspect maybe these guys did something along those lines to acquire the hardware.
