So... when did this become all about polls?
Something's not right about the political process ...besides the complete polarization of the the two major parties, I mean
I told my mother that everyone hates me. She said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.

I've long advocated that no poll results should be allowed in the press, with the exception of those put into paid advertisements by the candidates. Far too many people are influenced for the worse by them. Either they decide that their vote won't make a difference because their chosen candidate is far behind, or they decide that they want to be identified with a winner so they vote with the crowd. It particularly works against third-party candidacies, and most especially when those doing the polling refuse to include any choices other than the standard two "approved" candidates.
